What we do

Programs that meet people where they are.

Every program the Junior Miller Foundation runs was built around one question: what does this community actually need? Here's what we heard — and what we built.

Direct service. Real impact.

We don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Our programs are shaped by the people they serve — continuously refined through community feedback, volunteer experience, and the hard lessons that come from showing up every week for fifteen years.

Whether you're a family facing food insecurity, a young person who needs a mentor, or a senior who needs a hand — there's a place for you here.

No one in our community goes hungry.

Food Assistance

Our Food Assistance program operates weekly distributions at three neighborhood sites, providing fresh produce, pantry staples, and prepared meals to families in need. We partner with local farms, restaurants, and grocery stores to reduce waste and maximize impact.

Who it's for

Any individual or family experiencing food insecurity — no documentation required, no questions asked.

When & where

Every Saturday, 9am–1pm at our main distribution site. Additional pop-up distributions on the second Tuesday of each month.

How to access it

Just show up. There is no application process, no income verification, and no limit on how often you can come.

Every young person deserves someone in their corner.

Youth Mentorship

Our Youth Mentorship program pairs young people ages 10–18 with trained community mentors for one-on-one guidance, after-school support, and life skills development. We also run group workshops on financial literacy, career exploration, and conflict resolution.

Who it's for

Young people ages 10–18 living in the community. Priority given to youth who lack consistent adult support at home.

Commitment

Mentors meet with their mentee at least twice a month. The program runs year-round with a summer intensive.

How to enroll

Parents or guardians can enroll a young person by contacting our Programs Director. Mentor applications are also open year-round.

Senior Support

Our Senior Support program provides in-home assistance, transportation to medical appointments, grocery runs, and a weekly social gathering for seniors who are isolated or need a helping hand. We believe aging in place should be a real option for everyone.

Who it's for

Adults 65 and older living in the community, particularly those who live alone or have limited mobility.

What's available

In-home visits, transportation assistance, grocery delivery, and our Thursday afternoon social hour.

How to access it

Call or email our Senior Outreach Coordinator to schedule an intake conversation. Services are free of charge.

See a need. Fill it.

Our programs run because of volunteers, donors, and partners who refuse to look the other way. If you're ready to get involved, we're ready for you.
